"Basketball is Life is Basketball"

Setiap anak basket seharusnya pernah menjadi bagian dari sebuah tim.
Mungkin sebagai pemain utama atau starting five dari sebuah tim inti, atau pemain cadangan justru, atau bagian dari tim B yang juga biasa dikenal dengan tim hura hura.
Saya pernah menjadi bagian dari semua tim diatas...
Tapi diantara semua tim saya sepanjang hidup, ada 1 buah tim yang saya anggap paling mendekati kesempurnaan.

Tim TPB SR ITB 97.
Tim ketika saya masih tahun pertama di FSRD ITB.
Waktu itu ada pertandingan olahraga antar TPB (Tahap Persiapan Bersama, tingkat utk mahasiswa tingkat satu) Kalau tidak salah namanya adalah TPB Cup.

I had the most complete team ever.

Point Guard: Ray
Reminiscing of: Jason Williams
Tremendous Handling Skill! Saya pernah melihat dia mengoper bola dengan sikutnya! Di tengah pertandingan!!! Persis seperti Jason Williams.
Such a agreat leader on court with a great court vision.
Clutch shot player yang siap mengambil tembakan tembakan penting pada momen yang krusial.

Shooting Guard: Kemal
Reminiscing of: Allen Iverson
I tell you he keeps on coming! He can make score any any kind of way.
He takes medium shot, he drives to the hoop, he does fast breaks, he kills you smiling.

Center: Tinus
Reminiscing of: Tim Duncan
He is the Big Fundamental. He has great basic skills, great fadeaway jumper.
With his height he is just dominant.
Only problem is, he's a little crybaby :)

Small Forward: Yadi
Reminiscing of: Robert Horry
He does all the little things, he steals, he blocked shots (he has an amazing vertical leap), and the thing that reminds you most of Big Shot Bob, is he takes the most important shot in the latter moment of the game.
When clutch times approaches, he's at his best.

Power Forward: Pandji
Reminiscing of: I dont know... I cant tell. I never watched myself playing.

And among others we have remarkable bench players which i cant state all one by one.

Sayangnya, tim terbaik saya sepanjang umur ini tidak pernah juara.
Di kejuaraan Basket TPB Cup 97 tidak ada partai final.
2 tim yang sudah jadi bahan pembicaraan bertemu di Final.
SR 97 melawan Mesin 97
Tapi partai Finalnya terhadang musim hujan dan setelah musim hujan usai, ketua panitianya MALAS utk melanjutkan.
Can you imagine that? MALAS
I still remember the prick's name: Indra.
I'll kill him when ever i meet him again...

But being a part of that SR97 team gives me the thrills until today.
We had a great time on court, we had chemistry, and we had cheers all the way.
We were the greatest team ever
And we'll be that way in mind.
